📋 Description

• Lead the migration of data workflows from Hadoop/Hive environments into Snowflake • Design and implement a scalable Migration Factory to industrialise and automate migration processes • Develop and optimise Dataiku workflows supporting data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and automation • Design and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines • Analyse existing data solutions and identify optimisation and performance-improvement opportunities • Implement scalable, high-performing Snowflake architectures with security, governance, and operational excellence • Collaborate with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Contribute to documentation, knowledge transfer, and engineering best practices across projects

🎯 Requirements

• Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience • 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role • Proven experience delivering data migration programmes, ideally within Lift & Shift initiatives • Strong experience with modern data warehousing and data platform technologies • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders • Professional proficiency in English • Professional proficiency in French • Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal • Strong expertise with Snowflake, including data modelling, optimisation, performance tuning, and security • Hands-on experience with Dataiku or equivalent tools (Alteryx, Talend, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Knime, Apache NiFi) • Strong experience with Hadoop, Hive, and legacy-to-cloud migration projects • Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and analytical databases • Proficiency in big data frameworks such as Apache Spark, or alternatives (Databricks, Flink, Beam) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Nice to have: experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Nice to have: programming experience with Python or Scala • Nice to have: knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering • Nice to have: understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Security best practices • Nice to have: experience working in consulting or client-facing environments • Nice to have: exposure to international projects and multicultural teams
