• Evolutionary and Corrective Maintenance: Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance on legacy systems developed in PHP, ensuring stability, performance, and alignment with business needs; • Problem Analysis and Resolution: Identify bugs, investigate root causes, and implement efficient solutions; • Feature Improvements: Implement enhancements to existing features and fulfill new business requirements; • Integration with APIs and Services: Ensure proper integration of PHP systems with external APIs, databases, and other systems; • Technical Documentation: Keep documentation up to date, describing changes and improvements made; • Collaboration with Teams: Work with cross-functional teams such as QA, product, and other developers to ensure aligned, high-quality deliveries; • Development Best Practices: Apply good practices for versioning, testing, and code review, even in legacy environments.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields; • Minimum of four years of proven hands-on experience in developing and maintaining PHP applications, especially legacy systems; • Strong knowledge of both older and recent PHP versions, and experience with classic frameworks (such as Zend, CakePHP, CodeIgniter, Symfony, or Laravel); • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle); • Familiarity with version control tools (Git) and continuous integration practices; • Ability to work with legacy code, refactoring when necessary; • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively in a team; • Analytical profile, resilient, and focused on problem solving. • Desired: • Experience with PL/SQL.
