📋 Description

• Lead and manage a team of Review Editors while overseeing the end-to-end manuscript review workflow from submission through publication • Ensure timely manuscript progression through editorial and peer review stages to support publication goals and turnaround times • Identify workflow operational bottlenecks; implement scalable process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce publication timelines • Support authors, reviewers, and editors to ensure a seamless, efficient, and positive review experience • Assist with training, onboarding, mentoring, and performance management of Review Editors and team members • Leverage workflow automation tools, AI solutions, and publishing technologies to improve operational efficiency and scalability • Monitor team performance and key metrics regularly, proactively addressing gaps and driving strong results

🎯 Requirements

• A Ph.D. in Life Sciences • Minimum 5 years of experience in academic or scientific publishing • Strong expertise in peer review workflows, editorial operations, and manuscript management • Prior experience managing or mentoring editorial/review teams preferred • Strong understanding of scholarly publishing, peer review models, open access publishing, and publishing ethics • Demonstrated ability to identify operational challenges and implement effective process improvements • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities • Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment • Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on efficiency, accountability, and execution
