📋 Description

• Own the technical vision for scalable, high-performance, cost-efficient systems • Define modern architecture patterns enabling growth, high TPS, and seamless scaling • Architect and optimize multi-tenant SaaS platforms for configurability and performance • Design self-service capabilities such as workflow designers, rules engines, and reporting • Lead cloud cost-efficiency initiatives across infrastructure, model execution, and compute resources • Collaborate with AWS Support and Solution Architects to optimize infrastructure and cloud capabilities • Architect distributed data-processing pipelines for batch and real-time workloads • Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing layers • Enable data self-service for analytics, ML, and real-time business use cases • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance • Guide engineering teams on architectural best practices and pragmatic execution • Coach teams on microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native patterns • Create technical prototypes and proofs of concept to validate architectural decisions • Champion GenAI adoption, LLMs, and agentic workflows across the software development lifecycle • Establish AI guardrails and self-service AI capabilities while optimizing cost and performance • Lead the Jumio Architecture Review Council and drive cross-functional architectural alignment • Establish and enforce architectural standards across product teams • Facilitate architectural reviews, identify technical debt, and drive strategic coherence • Make complex architectural trade-off decisions • Mentor engineering leadership on architectural best practices and standardized decision-making

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in system architecture, data engineering, cloud engineering, or technical leadership roles • Experience with multi-tenant architectures and configurable SaaS platforms • Deep, hands-on AWS expertise, including EKS, IAM, Lambda, and networking • Professional GCP experience is a strong plus • Experience with distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, and caching strategies • Hands-on knowledge of AI/ML model execution, inference performance, cost trade-offs, and optimization • Proficiency in high-scale transactional systems • Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Docker • Expert in Java; strong in Python; knowledgeable in JavaScript/TypeScript and Kotlin • Experience leading architectural review processes and fostering engineering standards • Expertise integrating GenAI and ML methodologies into the software development lifecycle • Ability to manage strategic stakeholders and perform complex financial/TCO analysis for enterprise technology • Experience with high-volume, real-time data processing and distributed streaming architectures is a nice-to-have • Experience building petabyte-scale distributed data platforms is a nice-to-have • Familiarity with fraud prevention, identity verification, or authentication technologies is a nice-to-have
