📋 Description

• Lead the EDA, ESE, and Machine Learning development team in India • Manage and guide the engineering teams reporting to the role • Build end-to-end data pipeline architecture, operationalizing Fivetran ingestion and dbt transformation of Salesforce and NetSuite data into Snowflake/Databricks • Partner with Finance, Sales, and Operations on unified reporting models for pipeline health, ARR, billings, churn, and Customer Lifetime Value • Enforce analytics engineering best practices, including version control, dbt automated testing, and modular data modeling • Advise C-suite leaders and present financial and operational metrics backed by audited data models • Collaborate with Staff and Principal Engineers to build features, drive architecture, define best practices, and enable product quality • Influence engineering practices, product strategy, and execution • Partner with engineering leadership and other teams to build and inspire a world-class engineering organization • Provide technical leadership and oversight of team activities • Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop a growing, diverse team • Lead ML engineers and data scientists shipping production models • Set standards for feature engineering, training, evaluation, serving, and model feedback loops • Partner with product, platform, and security teams to turn identity, device, and telemetry signals into measurable outcomes • Establish SLAs, monitoring, rollback, and on-call processes for model health

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in applied ML, including several years managing people and experience with a production MLOps environment • Experience managing a team of 8 or more members, including performance management and team building • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, dbt, Fivetran, Snowflake, and Databricks • Good understanding of SQL • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and techniques • Track record of SaaS ownership and reliability principles • Hands-on experience working with agile teams • Ability to communicate effectively with engineering managers and technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment • Track record of continuous improvement through innovation, delivery, process development, and quality • Experience leading geographically diverse engineering teams in a remote-first environment • Exposure to AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude, or Copilot, and AI tools such as Gemini and NotebookLM • Experience leading ML engineers and data scientists who ship models to production • Experience with feature engineering, training, evaluation, serving, and model feedback loops • Hands-on fluency in Python, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and large-scale data platforms such as Spark or Snowflake • Ability to partner with product, platform, and security teams to turn identity, device, and telemetry signals into measurable outcomes • Experience hiring, coaching, and sequencing work across L3–L5 individual contributors with SLAs, monitoring, rollback, and model-health on-call • Bonus: Commercial software development experience with Golang, C++, Python, Java, or other languages and operating-system technologies • Bonus: Strong technical foundation in software engineering design principles • Bonus: Strong understanding of statistical and ML concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, anomaly detection, classification, ranking/scoring, model evaluation, and imbalanced datasets • Must be located in and authorized to work in India • Fluency in spoken and written English required • Engineers are expected to participate in on-call shifts
