📋 Description

• Serve as the local expert and ultimate technical authority for the pillar’s test processes, feature interactions, and quality standards • Engage early in the software development lifecycle through refinement, planning meetings, and RFC/design reviews • Challenge Product Managers and Engineering Leads on testability, competitive edge, and integration risks • Review and influence Pillar OKRs, including engineering velocity and reliability • Take accountability for pillar quality by identifying weak spots, automation blockers, and resource gaps, and escalating them to leadership • Represent the pillar in the Cross-Module Leadership Team and coordinate cross-team impacts • Establish standardized test plans and tooling across product pillars • Architect and lead non-functional testing strategies covering performance, load, and scale • Drive AI adoption and standardization in the testing lifecycle with the Internal Tools team • Promote shared engineering accountability for quality and automation maintenance • Allocate QE efforts toward high-value user journeys and critical initiatives • Contribute test code and write complex end-to-end automation scripts • Audit developer unit and integration tests for coverage gaps • Establish best practices for unit and functional testing frameworks • Increase unit, functional, and acceptance test coverage and connect coverage goals to release quality gates • Partner with the Automation Enablement engineer to close framework gaps and manage flaky tests • Mentor and teach Feature QEs and Developers on testing principles

🎯 Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Software Development in Test, or a related field • Proven track record of leading quality initiatives across multiple teams • Deep expertise in multiple technical disciplines, programming languages, test tools, and automation frameworks • Python, Pytest, Playwright, and TypeScript preferred • Proven experience defining and executing performance, scale, and load testing strategies for complex distributed systems • Experience evaluating build-versus-buy decisions and developing new implementations of industry solutions • Ability to balance release risk versus schedule while maximizing test execution and delivery speed • Excellent communication and influence skills • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with ability to coordinate actions across the organization • Fluent written and spoken English required • Must be located in and authorized to work in India
