📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership across entire stack (server and serverless architectures, databases, CI/CD infrastructure, metrics dashboards, and front-end web apps) • Partner with the CTO and COO to define the long-term technical strategy and roadmap supporting Sales, Marketing, and Operations • Lead projects through influencing architectural decisions and writing technical design documents while contributing to implementation, code reviews, deployment, and monitoring • Mentor fellow engineers and establish a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence • Drive innovation by exploring and championing cutting-edge technologies (e.g., generative AI) to boost efficiency and productivity • Own and improve core systems including Shopping Experience, Storefront Rendering Engine, No-Code Website Editor, and Inventory + Financial Management System

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with modern web technologies, including TypeScript, React, Node.js, relational and NoSQL databases • Strong foundation in architecting production-scale systems from scratch and deploying cloud infrastructure • Ownership mindset that extends beyond code to customer and business impact • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems, and influence cross-functional stakeholders • Optional experience as a tech lead, mentoring engineers, managing project sprints, and defining roadmaps • Experience with server and serverless architectures, databases, CI/CD infrastructure, metrics dashboards, and front-end web apps • Application asks whether candidate is legally able to work in Canada without sponsorship
