📋 Description

• You shape the technical future • You take technical ownership for your area — from architecture through to production operations. • You define target visions, make well-founded architecture and build-vs-buy decisions, and set clear technical guardrails for our modern Java/Spring Boot and Angular/TypeScript landscape. • You challenge existing solutions, monitor the market and technology trends, and purposefully evolve our systems with the ambition to actively shape the market rather than follow it. • You connect product and engineering • You work closely with Product and stakeholders and translate business goals into actionable technical approaches. • In doing so, you critically evaluate requirements, make dependencies and risks transparent, and support well-informed decisions. • You assess AI potential and integrate it deliberately where it delivers real value — whether in the development process or in the product. • You keep delivery, quality and costs in view • You are responsible for the technical perspective across Discovery & Delivery holistically, with a focus on architecture, quality and cost/benefit trade-offs. • You avoid unnecessary complexity and make clear decisions about where innovation makes sense. • You think technology through to operations • You uphold our high code and quality standards and ensure we can continue to release quickly and reliably. • You think beyond the merge request, identify structural weaknesses early and ensure stability, maintainability and transparency in production. • You provide technical orientation • You work with experienced developers who operate autonomously and discuss matters as peers. • Through sparring, feedback and shared guardrails you support them in taking responsibility and making confident technical decisions. • You are a strong communicator • You shine with open, clear and inspiring leadership — especially during periods of change.

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of experience developing complex software systems and in technical leadership roles, e.g. as Tech Lead, Senior Engineer or Staff Engineer • A strong sense for architecture, system design and sustainable technical decisions in evolved system landscapes • Experience coordinating with Product and stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical tasks, as well as taking responsibility for feedback on technical decisions. • Several years of hands-on experience with Java / Spring Boot and ideally knowledge of TypeScript / Angular • Confidence working with APIs, integrations, distributed systems and CI/CD in production-oriented software development • A high standard for code quality, clear technical principles and test coverage • Good understanding of stability, scalability and maintainability in production — even under increasing traffic. • Enjoy enabling your colleagues through orientation, sparring and clear decisions • Interest in pragmatically applying new technologies and integrating AI potential sensibly into the product (e.g. experience with Claude Code, Copilot or similar)
