📋 Description
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for new patients to determine appropriateness for Methadone/Buprenorphine treatment • Prescribe Methadone/Buprenorphine and other evidence-based medications in accordance with state and federal regulations • Provide follow-up visits for medication management, treatment progress monitoring, and care plan adjustments • Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate treatment • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) • Comply with all Medicaid, DEA, and Pennsylvania regulatory requirements
🎯 Requirements
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with an active Pennsylvania medical license • DEA certification with authority to prescribe controlled substances • Medicaid-enrolled provider in Pennsylvania (or willing to complete enrollment) • Minimum of 2 years of experience prescribing Methadone/Buprenorphine for opioid use disorder (not for pain management) • Strong knowledge of addiction psychiatry and MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) standards • Excellent communication and virtual patient engagement skills
