Description

• Build predictive models • Apply scientific computing, statistical, and physics-based methods • Identify evidence of ore-forming processes • Predict locations of mineralization • Build a worldwide dataset for exploration program • Quantify uncertainty in data and predictions • Create models and software for discovery of battery metals • Collaborate with geoscientists • Create geologic predictions • Design field programs and collect data • Help reduce uncertainty and guide field work • Building data tools to solve scientific problems

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Python's data science packages and software engineering practices • Knowledge of collaborative software development, software engineering best practices, and cloud computing resources • Expertise in building predictive models and interpreting results • Familiarity with geospatial analyses and visualizations • Broad skills in applied statistics • Understanding of Machine Learning algorithms • Advanced degree in physical sciences, engineering, computer science, or mathematics • Minimum 3 years of post-degree work experience as a data scientist or data engineer • Experience leading technical teams • Ability to design technical solutions to exploration problems • Constantly learning and driving insights • Ability to collaborate with domain experts • Excitement about joining a fast-growing company • Comfort with a dynamic work environment • Strong prioritization and multitasking skills • Helpful to have experience with geospatial data, geostatistics, image processing, distributed computing, and containerization
