📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain consumer-facing features across web using React and mobile using React Native • Own product work from discovery and technical design through release, monitoring, experimentation, and iteration • Drive A/B testing and experimentation strategies, including forming hypotheses, designing experiments, analyzing results, and iterating based on data • Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Mobile engineering teams • Make technical decisions on frameworks and architecture • Set standards for functional correctness, accessibility, performance, and testability • Mentor engineers across seniority levels • Lead and collaborate on complex cross-platform initiatives across web and mobile • Stay current with React ecosystem tooling, React Server Components, concurrent features, and streaming • Use AI tools across the full software development lifecycle • Build interfaces for buying, selling, portfolio management, and asset interaction in Kraken’s consumer products

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on consumer-facing web and/or mobile products • Deep expertise in TypeScript and the React ecosystem • Production experience with React Native and cross-platform mobile development, including App Store and Google Play release pipelines • Experience with Next.js, specifically App Router and React Server Components • Hands-on experience with A/B testing, feature flags, and experimentation frameworks such as LaunchDarkly or Optimizely • Experience with WebSockets or Server-Sent Events • Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress • Familiarity with Vite, Webpack, CI/CD pipelines, and performance profiling • Experience in fintech, crypto, payments, or other high-trust consumer products • Strong written and verbal English • Active AI-assisted development workflow using Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or equivalent • Applicants must select a city and country from the available options • Applicants must indicate whether they need sponsorship to work in their location
