📋 Description

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, monthly close, AP, AR, inventory accounting, treasury support, and financial reporting • Own the full AP cycle in NetSuite, including bill entry, coding, purchase order matching, approvals, payment preparation, reconciliations, discrepancy resolution, payment runs, and remittance records • Own invoicing and cash application across direct-to-consumer, retail, and commercial channels • Manage collections, resolve unapplied payments and credits, reconcile customer accounts, prepare statements, and report on AR aging • Manage monthly close and prepare accruals, prepaid amortization, fixed asset and depreciation entries, recurring journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations, and reconciliation packages • Analyze and explain material month-over-month fluctuations and improve the close process • Record inventory receipts, match purchase orders and supplier invoices, investigate receiving discrepancies, and allocate landed costs • Accrue and reconcile customs and tariff obligations; maintain duty and tariff outflow schedules • Investigate inventory variances and support cycle counts and reserve analysis • Prepare borrowing base certificates and credit-facility reporting; track covenant compliance dates • Support the rolling 13-week cash forecast and prepare daily and weekly cash-position reporting • Manage expense reports, corporate card coding, vendor onboarding, finance document management, master data, and SOP creation • Report directly to the VP of Finance and collaborate with U.S. vendors, customers, and stakeholders • Learn systems and processes, take ownership of AP and AR, own the month-end close, prepare reconciliations and borrowing-base materials, and identify process improvements during the first 90 days

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years at a senior or supervisory level • Proven full-cycle accounting experience • Personally managed or owned a month-end close • Experience with inventory accounting in a physical-product business such as manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or e-commerce • Hands-on experience with NetSuite; experience with Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365 Business Central, or SAP Business One may also be considered • Professional written and spoken English fluency • Comfortable communicating directly with U.S. vendors and customers • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivot tables, large-file reconciliations, and complex workbooks • Strong attention to detail and ability to independently investigate and resolve discrepancies • Experience with international imports, customs duties, tariffs, landed costs, and brokerage strongly preferred • Exposure to asset-based lending, borrowing base certificates, eligibility testing, or covenant reporting strongly preferred • Multi-entity or multi-currency accounting and consolidation experience strongly preferred • Shopify or other e-commerce accounting experience strongly preferred • Contador Público or equivalent local accounting qualification strongly preferred • Experience working in a small or rapidly scaling company strongly preferred • Minimum 6 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Central Time • International Independent Contractor arrangement
