📋 Description

• Own 24×7 observability, alerting, and incident response for a mission-critical VA health IT platform • Architect and operate the Single Pane of Glass monitoring environment • Design, operate, and continuously tune platform monitoring across Dynatrace and Splunk • Own the Single Pane of Glass dashboard: centralized telemetry, build status, compliance flags, and SLA metrics • Lead all P1/P2 incident responses; drive root cause analysis and post-mortem documentation • Manage on-call rotation for relevant Key Personnel; enforce rapid human response SLAs • Track error budget consumption across all SLA tiers; trigger reliability reviews when production error budgets near defined floors • Maintain and improve Master Runbooks; executable, scripted playbooks for all named failure modes • Deliver Monthly Deliverables Reports with SLA measurement, incident summary, and trend analysis • Partner with DevSecOps on alert automation and auto-ticket creation in ServiceNow

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of federal IT operations or SRE experience with 24×7 platform monitoring responsibility • Expert-level Dynatrace and/or Splunk experience in a federal production environment • Demonstrated incident command experience across multi-vendor teams under pressure • Runbook/operational playbook authoring for complex, multi-service environments • Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM: incident ticketing, CCB integration, escalation routing • Active Dept of Veteran Affairs PIV credentials • Preferred: Prior VAEC / AWS GovCloud experience • ITIL v4 certification • CloudWatch, Kinesis, or other AWS-native observability tools in GovCloud
