📋 Description

• The Backend Engineer will build and maintain cloud-native backend microservices that power a distributed platform for global clients. • The backend team is responsible for ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across services. • You will work primarily with Java, Spring Boot, and GCP, while leveraging GraphQL, Kubernetes, and Terraform to support modern architectures. • Design, build, and maintain backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot. • Deploy and manage services in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). • Develop and integrate GraphQL APIs and RESTful endpoints. • Leverage containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) for deployment. • Implement CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform. • Write unit and integration tests to ensure robust and reliable releases. • Participate in peer code reviews, occasionally mentor junior developers, and share SME knowledge. • Troubleshoot and optimize performance issues in distributed environments.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience • +4 years of experience in Software Engineering or related roles • Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot development • Experience working with GCP services and cloud-native architectures • Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes • Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and automation using CircleCI • Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL • Hands-on knowledge of GraphQL for API development • Background in Agile/Scrum environments • Problem-solving and self-sufficiency in engineering tasks • Self-sufficient, proactive, and a quick learner with the ability to work independently • Strong problem-solving skills and quality-first mindset.
