📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain Kubernetes controllers and operators in Golang • Propose innovative solutions to meet product needs • Research, evaluate, and recommend tools or components • Collaborate with the Product Owner and agile team to refine Product Backlog Increments and prioritize impactful features • Improve and maintain the platform for high availability and scalability • Troubleshoot, reproduce, debug, and resolve complex issues • Collaborate on open-source projects • Participate in regular on-call duty as Engineer on Duty • Build and evolve Leaseweb Managed Kubernetes, a platform enabling customers to deploy, manage, and update Kubernetes clusters • Work on components for virtual machine deployment, networking, volumes, firewall rules, load balancing, and Leaseweb Public Cloud integration

🎯 Requirements

• Experience developing Kubernetes operators in Golang • Proven and demonstrable knowledge of programming languages, such as Golang • Experience developing and implementing Kubernetes components, including Operators, Controllers, Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), and Cluster API • Experience creating container images with Dockerfiles, Kubernetes manifests, and Helm charts • Experience with Kubernetes and related projects • Good knowledge of cloud concepts including networking, storage, and virtualization • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and perform code reviews • Ability to work in a development team using common Scrum practices • Good communication skills • Nice to have: experience with large Kubernetes deployments and CNCF tools • Nice to have: experience with continuous deployment tools such as Jenkins and ArgoCD • Nice to have: experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Icinga, Prometheus, Alert Manager, Loki, and Grafana • Nice to have: demonstrable knowledge of Linux and operating system internals • Nice to have: experience with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Terraform • Nice to have: previous open-source contributions • Certified Kubernetes Administrator or similar certification will be considered
