📋 Description

• Provide engineering consultation for compliance with FAA and industry standards and best practices and provide recommendations for solutions in all phases of the system’s lifecycle including: contract, policy, site survey, design and design review, and implementation. • Perform power system studies: load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, protective device coordination analysis, arc flash risk assessment, and harmonic analysis. • Maintain documentation of power system studies for official government records. • Participate in process improvements with other peers and clients. • Participate in the development, administration, management, logistics, and strategy of project planning and implementation. • Develop solutions to complex engineering problems using MATLAB/COMSOL/EDSA/SKM and/or other engineering design tools as well. • Manage National Change Proposal, Configuration Control Board process, and departmental website.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Power Systems, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 8 to 12 years of professional experience; or 6 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. • Registered Professional Engineer license or Senior member of IEEE is preferred. • Power engineering experience combined with electrical engineering degree is a must. • Demonstrated experience performing power system studies with minimal supervision. • Strong writing skills exhibited through published papers at a national/international engineering organization. • Willing to travel up to 50% as required by project needs.
