📋 Description

• Design, build, and ship robust web applications using Next.js and modern JavaScript • Translate rough designs, wireframes, and delivery requirements into usable, maintainable components and interfaces • Build and maintain secure integrations between HR/payroll platforms, client databases, and internal tooling • Deploy, manage, and operate applications in Microsoft Azure using App Services, Storage Accounts, Entra ID, and CI/CD pipelines • Write and maintain automated tests • Participate in code reviews as an author and reviewer • Monitor production systems and investigate issues proactively • Implement permanent fixes addressing root causes • Collaborate with consultants, project managers, and internal stakeholders on technical decisions and estimates • Document delivered work thoroughly • Handle sensitive employee and payroll information with discretion and data privacy compliance

🎯 Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of demonstrated commercial experience building and shipping production-grade applications • Deep practical knowledge of Next.js, React routing, data fetching, SSR, SSG, ISR, and the React ecosystem • Strong proficiency in modern ES JavaScript, asynchronous programming patterns, and API utilization • TypeScript proficiency expected for clean, type-safe code • Strong frontend and CSS skills, responsive design, and accessibility basics • Experience building and maintaining REST, GraphQL, and Webhook integrations • Experience writing automated unit and integration tests • Experience participating in code reviews • Production-proven security practices for environment variables, encryption, secrets, and sensitive employee/payroll data • Exceptional written English is a hard requirement • Ability to document work thoroughly and explain complex technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical colleagues • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent commercial experience • Hands-on Azure experience is desirable • Jira and Confluence experience is desirable • Basic to intermediate Python skills are desirable • HRIS, ATS, or payroll systems integration experience is desirable
