📋 Description

• Plans, coordinates, and implements nutritional therapy services for assigned patient populations within a behavioral health setting • Assesses patient nutritional status and identifies individual dietary needs • Develops, implements, and monitors patient-specific nutrition care plans • Evaluates patient responses to nutrition interventions and adjusts plans accordingly • Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate medical nutrition therapy • Partners with departmental leadership to ensure nutritionally appropriate menus, food selections, and services for patients and visitors • Provides education, training, and counseling to patients, staff, and community members on topics such as eating disorders, weight management, and therapeutic diets • Supports organizational initiatives related to nutrition, wellness, and patient outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field (required) • Clinical nutrition experience preferred, particularly in behavioral health or acute care settings • An active license is required in the candidate's state of residence • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
