📋 Description
• Edit content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, readability, and alignment with Lifeway style and brand guidelines within agreed-upon deadlines • Verify biblical and factual accuracy and correlate copy across related materials • Proofread files for accuracy, consistency, and required corrections • Convert writer files into InCopy stories and load appropriate style sheets • Export files to PDF for internal review, external appraisal, or digital delivery • Perform quality assurance on electronic files by following established production and workflow best practices • Enlist writers for Leader Bible Studies and work with the team to edit and prepare
🎯 Requirements
• Associate degree in English, Communications, Publishing, or a related field with experience, required • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field with experience , preferred • 1+ years of editorial, publishing, or technical production experience • Demonstrated excellence in editing, proofreading, and attention to detail across grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, and digital production workflows • Clear written communication skills with ability to document edits, flag questions, and support smooth production handoffs • Ability to travel to the Middle Tennessee area 2-4 times annually for team gatherings • Actively involved in an evangelical Christian church
