• Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within the C&I sector for behind-the-meter BESS projects, directly and in partnership with other EPS sales team members. • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing of deal. • Conduct site assessments and energy audits to understand customer needs, including analysis of utility bills, load profiles, and demand charges. • Collaborate with internal engineering, project development, and finance teams to design customized solutions. • Negotiate contracts, financing options and commercial terms with corporate decision-makers, facility managers, and sustainability officers. • Achieve or exceed annual sales targets. • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to represent the company. • Support sales team with BESS opportunities. Travel is necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field (preferred). • 7+ years of proven sales experience in BESS, Microgrid, or other Renewable EPC programs. • Demonstrated history of meeting/exceeding multi-million-dollar quotas in complex EPC sales cycles. • Strong understanding of behind-the-meter applications: demand charge management, time-of-use optimization, backup power, and microgrid concepts. • Strong technical and/or financial knowledge of BESS technologies with focus on EPC implementation. • Experience with financial modeling (Xendee and other modeling programs), energy bill analysis, and incentive programs and work with finance team on modeling. • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; ability to translate technical concepts into a strong value proposition.
