📋 Description

• Translate content between English and Samoan while preserving cultural nuance and clarity • Edit and refine language content for accuracy, tone, and contextual relevance across digital platforms • Apply current language standards, usage trends, and best practices • Evaluate and provide structured feedback to improve language model quality • Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content for Samoan-speaking markets • Support content development, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications • Creatively adapt source text beyond direct translation when transcreation is required • Complete domain-specific testing when required • Complete onboarding steps, including an application form and payment setup

🎯 Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Samoan/target language(s) • A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR a graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience • Ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely • Reliable availability and commitment • Quality work and on-time delivery after accepting tasks • Updated CV/resume in English • Must reside in an eligible location: Australia, New Zealand, USA, or Samoa • Geographic restrictions may apply; contractors cannot be engaged in regions subject to international embargoes or sanctions • Contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations
