📋 Description

• Build data pipelines to ingest data from databases, APIs, and streaming platforms • Integrate and transform data for compatibility with target data models or formats • Design and optimize data storage architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed file systems • Implement partitioning, compression, indexing, query tuning, and caching strategies to optimize storage, retrieval, and system efficiency • Design and implement data models supporting efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical solutions • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders • Deliver solutions independently with responsibility for outcomes • Work under Agile and Scrum methodologies • Train and mentor junior data engineers • Design and implement data processing systems on the Azure platform • Write efficient and scalable code to process, transform, and clean large volumes of structured and unstructured data

🎯 Requirements

• 4–6 years of professional experience in a similar role • Databricks proficiency rated 4/5 • Apache Spark proficiency rated 4/5 • Data programming proficiency rated 4/5 • Software development for data engineering proficiency rated 4/5 • Azure Services proficiency rated 3/5 • Technical leadership proficiency rated 3/5 • Data processing architecture proficiency rated 3/5 • GenAI for Data Engineering proficiency rated 3/5 • CI/CD automation proficiency rated 3/5 • Very good communication skills, including conveying information clearly and specifically to co-workers and business stakeholders • Experience working with Agile methodologies and supporting tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps • Hands-on experience designing and optimizing data storage, including data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed file systems • Independence and responsibility in delivering solutions • Experience or familiarity with other cloud technologies, data warehouses, data governance, and business analysis is a plus
