Lithos Carbon is a company focused on enhancing soil health and carbon capture on farms through the application of basalt rock dust. By utilizing the silicate minerals in crushed basalt, Lithos Carbon aids farmers in sequestering carbon dioxide from the atmosphere via enhanced rock weathering. Their technology optimizes both crop yield and carbon capture, allowing farms to become more productive while also generating revenue from carbon removal. Lithos Carbon employs proprietary machine learning algorithms to tailor soil treatment strategies for maximizing carbon capture and improving soil health. This approach not only replenishes and enriches soil with essential nutrients but also strengthens crop resiliency against environmental stresses. Backed by research from prestigious institutions like Yale University, Lithos Carbon's methods provide accurate measurement and modeling of carbon capture across ecosystems. The company partners with farmers to handle logistics from soil sampling to application, ensuring the ecological and financial benefits of basalt application are fully realized.
