• Develop and maintain comprehensive Excel models to analyze the financial performance and feasibility of carbon projects, including revenue projections, cost estimations, and investment returns. • Collect, organize, and analyze financial and operational data related to carbon projects to identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators. • Conduct scenario analysis to assess the impact of different variables, assumptions, and market conditions on the financial outcomes of carbon projects. • Evaluate financial risks associated with carbon projects and propose risk mitigation strategies to ensure project success and financial sustainability. • Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations summarizing financial analysis, project performance, and recommendations for stakeholders and management. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, carbon foresters, and supply chain, to integrate financial considerations into project planning and decision-making processes. • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the accuracy and reliability of financial models and analyses.
• Minimum 2 years experience in an underwriting/forecasting focused position. • Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and financial modeling techniques. • Solid understanding of financial concepts, including NPV, IRR, ROI, and financial statement analysis. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Passion for environmental sustainability and interest in carbon markets and climate finance.
