📋 Description

• Oversee the legal frameworks for Care.com’s consumer marketplace and compliance program • Lead the transformation of the legal function leveraging legal technology and AI • Guide product teams on compliance throughout the development lifecycle • Design self-service compliance tools for marketing • Maintain robust, accessible Terms of Service and Privacy Policies • Partner closely with Trust & Safety to refine protocols for incident response and platform integrity • Integrate “Privacy by Design” into all consumer features.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 10 years of legal practice • Significant in-house experience at a technology or gig-economy platform • Proven ability to manage outside counsel on complex litigation • Deep familiarity with marketplace legal issues such as worker classification, Section 230, FCRA, and consumer disputes • Excellent drafting skills for consumer-facing policies • Ability to enable business through education and systems-thinking • Strong communication skills for complex legal risks and opportunities to senior leadership.
