📋 Description

• Write, edit, and maintain accessibility documentation, including Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) and Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) • Translate WCAG 2.1/2.2 and Section 508 technical standards into clear guidance for developers, designers, and content creators • Document accessibility remediation processes, testing procedures, and known issues • Create and update accessibility style guides, checklists, and best-practice references • Collaborate with accessibility testers and engineers to accurately capture compliance status and remediation timelines • Review existing product documentation, help content, and UI copy for accessibility and plain-language compliance • Maintain a repository of accessibility documentation and ensure version control • Support responses to accessibility audits, procurement requests, and compliance inquiries • Stay current on updates to Section 508, WCAG, and related federal accessibility regulations

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation, or a related field • Familiarity with Section 508 standards, WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines, and VPAT/ACR documentation • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail • Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory information into clear, accessible language • Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, QA, legal/compliance) • Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Markdown, Confluence, Google Docs, Microsoft Office)
