📋 Description

• Draft defense filings for judgment debtors, including defenses to enforcement actions, motions challenging enforcement, objections to judgment enforcement, appeals, and interlocutory petitions • Identify and argue procedural defects, such as limitation periods, invalidity of the enforceable instrument, lack of standing, excessive enforcement, and defective service of process • Monitor procedural deadlines in coordination with the legal operations team • Analyze applicable legislation, case law, and precedents supporting the legal arguments under development • Participate in hearings and strategic case-alignment meetings • Keep legal systems up to date and prepare portfolio progress reports • Issue payment slips and complete electronic filings • Submit filings within the service-level agreement (SLA) established with management • Ensure that no procedural deadline is missed • Develop well-founded and defensible legal arguments, prioritizing depth over volume

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) • At least 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with proven experience in enforcement proceedings and judgment enforcement • Strong command of Civil Procedure as applied to the enforcement phase • Experience managing a personal caseload, with autonomy in handling deadlines • Proficiency in electronic filing systems (PJe, Projudi, eproc, and equivalents) • Experience appearing before courts in different Brazilian states • Availability during business hours for meetings, hearings, and case-alignment discussions • Prior experience specifically representing judgment debtors (preferred) • Graduate specialization in Civil Law or Civil Procedure (preferred) • Familiarity with Projuris ADV or an equivalent legal management system (preferred) • Experience working in a law firm with structured processes and delivery targets (preferred) • Familiarity with artificial intelligence applied to legal practice, including case-law research, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and organizing legal arguments (a plus) • Ability to validate citations and precedents and handle sensitive data and professional confidentiality with care • Interest in developing and refining AI-assisted prompts and workflows
