📋 Description

• Administer and optimize Aurora/RDS PostgreSQL, including query, index, and parameter tuning • Support satellite services: DynamoDB, Redis, OpenSearch, SQL Server, and MySQL • Implement backup, replication, failover, proactive observability, and operational process automation routines • Create and maintain provisioning routines through IaC • Manage access, permissions, encryption, and governance standards • Guide squads in efficient data modeling • Enable vector databases with pgvector and incorporate AI tools into daily operations • Conduct troubleshooting under pressure with clear communication • Ensure operational continuity • Work with technical autonomy, lead critical incidents, and provide a consultative perspective to support engineering squads

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced administration of Aurora/RDS PostgreSQL in critical, high-scale production environments • In-depth SQL tuning, execution plan analysis (EXPLAIN/ANALYZE), and relational modeling • HA and resilience strategies: read replicas, Multi-AZ, failover, and disaster recovery • Monitoring and observability in AWS (CloudWatch, Performance Insights, Enhanced Monitoring) • Cloud security: IAM, VPCs, subnets, security groups, and encryption (KMS/TLS) • Scripting for operational automation (Python or Bash) • IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation) and Git-based CI/CD pipelines • Experience with DynamoDB, Redis, OpenSearch, SQL Server, or MySQL • Observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog) • Familiarity with vector databases (pgvector), generative AI, and containers (Docker) • Analytical thinking and problem-solving under pressure • Consultative communication • Risk management
