📋 Description

• Own the AI behind Audrey, including retrieval, generation, models, and logic • Build fast, accurate, and reliable retrieval for videos, printables, and activities • Build and refine content and data pipelines for videos, printables, guides, and multilingual content • Connect the AI across the backend and frontend product stack • Design Audrey’s behavior, personality, and teacher-facing experience • Bring Audrey to launch and shape its evolution at scale • Improve the quality, speed, and reliability of responses and recommendations • Build and iterate with modern AI-assisted development tools • Partner with infrastructure leadership to operate Audrey efficiently in the cloud • Implement evaluation, testing, monitoring, and technical documentation • Collaborate with engineering and product teams • Help shape the roadmap, including personalization, multilingual support, and classroom insights • Build with privacy and safety in mind, including FERPA/COPPA alignment

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience across the full stack • Personally built and shipped at least one production LLM/AI application • Strong experience building retrieval-augmented (RAG) systems, including embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, and re-ranking • Fluency with modern AI-assisted development tools, such as Cursor • Strong Python and solid backend fundamentals, including APIs, databases, and data pipelines • Frontend ability to work end-to-end across the stack • Practical LLM orchestration and prompt engineering, including LangChain or comparable tools, agent/tool design, system-prompt and persona design, and guardrails • Solid AWS experience with compute, storage, databases, containers, and monitoring • Ability to work remotely with meaningful overlap across UK and US time zones • Strong written communication • Ability to own work and drive it forward with minimal oversight • Right to work in India; visa sponsorship is not available • Bonus: edtech or early-childhood education experience; multilingual retrieval; video/audio ML; familiarity with FERPA/COPPA or similar
