📋 Description

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs powering core parts of the Justride platform • Design scalable, secure and resilient distributed systems • Collaborate with engineers, testers and product partners to deliver features from concept through production • Write clean, well-tested and maintainable code • Contribute to code reviews and shared engineering standards • Build and support integrations with internal services and third-party systems • Monitor and improve service performance, reliability and observability • Contribute to technical discussions and shape solutions and best practices • Take ownership of work and support team outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• Must be based in Romania • Proof of right to work in Romania required • Advanced English proficiency; B2 or higher • Minimum 5 years of backend development experience with Java or Kotlin • Solid commercial experience building backend systems in Java or Kotlin • Understanding of distributed systems, scalability and reliability • Experience designing and working with REST APIs • Experience with service-based or event-driven architectures • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS • Thoughtful approach to code quality, testing and maintainability • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset • Ability to explain technical ideas clearly to technical and non-technical colleagues • Collaborative and team-oriented approach
