• Analyze and process credit proposals and applications for Mashreq Bank’s retail lending and Islamic products for approval or escalation within the stipulated TAT • Ensure smooth implementation of front-end automation of the credit process across lending products • Regulate approvals within Credit Policy and Product parameters • Ensure consistent application of credit policy, quality underwriting decisions, and collateral documentation • Perform supervisory credit reviews for mortgage products according to standard operating procedures and Product Program Guidelines • Provide reliable backup in the absence of the team leader/Assistant Manager • Support development and training of new staff • Analyze eligibility, bank statements, past data, Flexcube, Prime, and other applicable systems through RCMS • Evaluate and suggest improvements to team productivity • Undertake projects to increase unit productivity and enhance retail lending products and credit policy • Participate in training, process improvement initiatives, and system changes • Identify exceptions involving eligibility, pricing, CPV, system information capture, and collateral compliance • Communicate deficiencies and policy violations to the Team Leader/Assistant Manager • Categorize cases as Declined, Rejected, or for Deviation Approval when checks fail • Meet daily productivity targets and committed turnaround times • Exercise first-line controls to book quality applications and highlight document anomalies to the Fraud Prevention Unit • Participate in quality-unit training and testing • Identify anomalies and recommend changes to Credit Policy, Product Manual, operational procedures, and risk controls
• Graduate with > 3 years work experience in Credit Management environment • Excellent analytical skills • Sound interpersonal skills • Sound knowledge in MS Office tools for report purposes • Good PC skills • Ability to problem solve and work independently • Customer focused and achievement oriented • Willing to work under pressure
