📋 Description

• Strategize, develop and implement Data Protection Controls in coordination with stakeholders globally. • Ensure organizational compliance with defined policy and framework using a data-driven approach. • Ensure protection operations are executed effectively, timely and with required quality. • Assist in developing and implementing Data Protection strategic initiatives. • Lead Data Protection tasks, monitoring and protecting information security assets. • Lead enterprise-wide data encryption initiatives for data at rest, in transit and in use. • Design and implement data anonymization and masking strategies for PII, PCI and other sensitive data. • Collaborate with Application Development, Infrastructure, Legal, Compliance and ISG teams. • Evaluate vendors and integrate encryption key management and tokenization solutions. • Establish governance models and control frameworks for data anonymization. • Establish and maintain incident response frameworks and DLP policies, standards, procedures and guidelines. • Conduct audits, assessments and risk assessments; track KPIs/KRIs and report identified risks. • Conduct bank-wide data discovery, create data flow diagrams, and maintain data asset inventories and lifecycles. • Design secure architectures for data storage, processing and transmission. • Implement and maintain ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, PDPL, PDPO and PCI standards/frameworks. • Manage daily database activity monitoring operations, logs, alerts, metrics and security audits. • Drive additional Data Protection initiatives, including insider risk management, backup and restoration controls, data retention/deletion and privacy management scans. • Provide project governance and collaborate with the Data Privacy team on reviews and assessments.

🎯 Requirements

• Graduate/ Post Graduate degree in Science/ Engineering/ IT. • Minimum 2 Professional certifications: CIPPE / CIPM / CIPT / CDPSE, CISA, CISM, PCI-QSA, CISSP, SABSA. • 12+ years working experience in a large financial institution/bank, with minimum 4 years’ experience within a compliance, legal, audit and/or risk function, and recent experience in data protection projects/implementation. • Familiarity with advanced Data Privacy and Protection technologies, risk, threat and vulnerability assessments, and security measures. • Strong experience and knowledge across Data Privacy and Protection domains, including governance, policy procedures, compliance management, risk management and Data Breach response. • Comprehensive knowledge of Data Privacy and Protection regulatory and compliance requirements across various industries and their influence on the bank’s DPP strategy.
