📋 Description

• At Matterworks, we are building AI tools to extract insights from biological data. • As a Staff Machine Learning Scientist, you will be responsible for designing and building core deep learning models. • Lead the technical execution of complex machine learning projects from conception to deployment. • Design and build custom deep learning models. • Be involved in the coding and implementation of models using PyTorch and NumPy. • Stay current with the latest research in deep learning and propose new ideas. • Collaborate closely with other scientists and engineers and mentor junior members.

🎯 Requirements

• Ph.D. or M.S. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. • 5+ years of hands-on experience in building and deploying deep learning models. • Strong proficiency in Python, PyTorch and NumPy is required. • Proven experience in designing and implementing novel neural network architectures. • Experience with machine learning for spectral analysis, structure prediction, or molecular representation learning is a strong plus. • A track record of contributing to impactful projects with a clear demonstration of your technical contributions. • Familiarity with scientific data formats (e.g., HDF5, mzML, Zarr).
