📋 Description

• Provide leadership in the development of annual and monthly activity plans and monitor their implementation, ensuring performance to plan. • Support project teams in meeting their reporting and communications requirements. • Coordinate across the organization to ensure that project teams get the requisite support in a timely manner. • Ensure that the project is operating compliantly with funder contract. • Establish systems for efficient management of subcontractor activities. • Coordinate start-up and close-out of projects, including serving as Team Leader and/or traveling to country if required. • Ensure timely implementation and adoption of centralized digital data collection systems across all country programs. • Ensure country teams meet data quality standards and programmatic data informs adaptive management decisions. • Work with PALU and technical teams to analyze program data and identify opportunities for course correction or scaling of activities. • Monitor key performance indicators to track project progress and impact. • Develop monthly and annual budgets and work with project leadership to ensure that each project is spending +/- 90% to plan. • Supervise 4 country leads, including the provision of ongoing coaching, performance management and carrying out bi-annual appraisals. • Identify new business opportunities by understanding market trends and donor interest. • Cultivate relationships with private sector actors, foundation staff, bi-lateral and multi-lateral funders based on shared interests.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or international development required; Master’s degree preferred. • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in the field of international program management, including experience supervising staff, project operations, financial management, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning. • Strong quantitative and data management skills, including proficiency in Excel and statistical software (R, Stata, Python, or similar), and health information systems (DHIS2, REDCap, or similar platforms). • Experience living and working in Africa would constitute an advantage • Expertise in one or more global health technical areas (malaria, RNMCH, HIV, etc.) • Successful experience developing partnerships and securing significant funding from public and private sector donors. • Ability to travel internationally up to 10% of the time. • Strong writing and communication skills in English; professional proficiency in French, Portuguese, and/or Spanish required.
