• The Senior Project Manager (SPM) works across the organization to ensure the quality, compliant implementation of the existing portfolio of global health projects in Gabon, Madagascar, Mozambique, and Niger. • The SPM ensures that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and meet both donor requirements and MCD’s quality standards for project management, data collection and dissemination, and publication of results in peer-reviewed journals. • Cultivate relationships with potential funders, writing proposals, and winning new business that aligns with MCD’s core competencies. • The SPM will supervise 4 country-based project leads. This position requires approximately 10% international travel.
• Bachelor’s degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or international development required; Master’s degree preferred. • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in the field of international program management, including experience supervising staff, project operations, financial management, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning. • Strong quantitative and data management skills, including proficiency in Excel and statistical software (R, Stata, Python, or similar), and health information systems (DHIS2, REDCap, or similar platforms). • Experience living and working in Africa would constitute an advantage • Expertise in one or more global health technical areas (malaria, RNMCH, HIV, etc.) • Successful experience developing partnerships and securing significant funding from public and private sector donors. • Ability to travel internationally up to 10% of the time. • Strong writing and communication skills in English; professional proficiency in French, Portuguese, and/or Spanish required.
