• Conduct a gender analysis of the rice production link/segment for each country at the cluster level to better reach our target groups; • Support PMOs in integrating and capitalizing on the project’s Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GEI) practices in the implementation of their action plans; • Develop and contribute to the development of training materials and capacity‑building modules on GEI issues for the PMOs’ gender focal points (PFG), clients (producers) and OPA offices; • Support the development and implementation of a strategy to ensure sustainable access to quality agricultural land for young rice farmers, with a particular focus on young women; • Facilitate structured and inclusive community dialogues to reach consensus on measures to address issues that limit rice production by young women, young men, or people with disabilities; • Conduct field visits as requested by the project to support and monitor implementation of the GEI action plan and prepare the corresponding progress reports.
• Advanced degree in gender studies, sociology or a related discipline, preferably a master’s degree. • At least 5 years of proven experience conducting gender analyses, delivering training, facilitating community engagement, and strengthening agricultural organizations on gender issues. • Experience in gender equality and social inclusion within agriculture, preferably in the rice value chain. • Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and familiarity with social media. • Knowledge of local languages is an asset. • Proficiency with the institution’s standard software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
