MEI is a Italy-based manufacturer and global market leader in edging machines for eyeglass lenses. Founded in the early 1990s and driven by a focus on innovation and customer needs, MEI develops and manufactures robust, reliable edging equipment using its proprietary dry cut technology to enable blockless edging. The company produces a range of edgers of different sizes and throughputs for customers from independent optical shops to large industrial lens labs, and provides global service and spare-parts support from offices in the USA (Chicago and Los Angeles), Hong Kong and São Paulo. Specialities include optical manufacturing, lens edging, optical innovation, and lens production; all edgers are manufactured in Italy.
