📋 Description

• The Quality Control Department is responsible for evaluating the underwriting quality of Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp’s mortgage production as well as detecting possible misrepresentation. • Ensuring loans conform to the policies and guidelines of Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp and various agencies including but not limited to FHA, VA, FNMA, Freddie Mac, GNMA, as well as other investors. • Completing detailed file reviews of the AUS, credit, income, assets and collateral on pre-fund and post-funded loans to determine if the underwriter correctly calculated and approved the loan in accordance with agency, investor and company policies and procedures. • Documenting DKMC’s system of record with all audit information. • Notifying applicable department managers of any defect found and manage pipeline to ensure responses are received in a timely manner and were addressed per company policy. • Remain current with policy changes from agencies, investors, company policies and procedures. • Review of all early payment default loans to determine if they meet guidelines and provide input for decision-making to identify the root cause of default. • Assist with state audits • Other assigned projects as determined by the Quality Control Manager

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma • FHA Direct Endorsement. A combination of both DE and SAR is preferred. • Strong working knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Government Lending practices and guidelines • Two (2) years of pre-fund and post close quality control credit reviews • Ability to work independently, problem solve, make decisions with minimal supervision • Complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and be conscientious about assignments and deadlines. • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company. • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships. • Ability to follow directions and perform work accordingly. • Ability to multi-task in a fast pace and stressful environment. • Professional Appearance (business casual). • Professional, courteous, and friendly demeanor.
