• Establish an internal communications strategy with the Chief of Staff and key internal stakeholders • Design and develop internal communications systems, processes, and ways of working • Develop knowledge management systems for an increasingly complex and diverse global network • Organise and maintain a knowledge hub of network resources, templates, guidance, and relevant information • Provide training and inductions in knowledge management, including filing, storage, and access • Serve as the central point of contact for internal updates and network-wide communication • Ensure initiatives and projects are communicated effectively to internal stakeholders • Uphold the values, culture, and community of the network through structures and systems • Plan, edit, design, and write leadership announcements, newsletters, and regular emails • Use industry best practices, measure effectiveness, and continuously improve internal communications • Provide line management, coaching, and professional development to an Internal Communications Associate • Collaborate with senior executives, programme and operational leaders, and the CEO Office Team • Contribute to change management and organisational initiatives strengthening the foundation’s identity and culture
• Extensive experience (+5 years) leading an internal communication function, with expertise in internal communications strategy, knowledge management, staff engagement, and organisational communications within an international network or organisation • Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience tailoring messages to a variety of audiences • Experience managing complex internal communications projects and advising staff and senior leaders on internal communications strategies • Experience of overseeing change management communications in a fast-growing organisation or network • Proficiency with communications and digital tools such as Slab, MailChimp, Adobe Suite, Google Drive, SharePoint, Asana, Trello, Slack, etc. • Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail • Ability to work generously with colleagues in an international, multicultural community and across international norms and values • Versatile and adaptable skills necessary to flourish in a fast-paced and wide-ranging remote work environment • Excellent judgement and discretion • Creative and proactive, solutions-oriented mindset • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, with emotional intelligence to build trust and navigate complex relationships diplomatically across diverse stakeholders and time zones • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, producing concise, accurate, and professional materials • Genuine interest in issues at the intersection of technology, society, and democracy, and commitment to Meliore’s mission and values, including justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion • Brand management experience would be a plus • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an asset • Only candidates with the right to work in their location will be considered
