• Present and sell Merit products to new and existing accounts • Follow up with customers to confirm delivered products meet their needs • Meet regularly with clients and accounts to present and demonstrate Merit products and explain their benefits • Identify potential customers and introduce them to Merit products • Maintain client contacts and monitor product satisfaction • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and increase sales volume and profitability • Prepare customized drawings for clients needing custom kits or manifolds • Prepare and submit pricing contracts to clients • Resolve manufacturing or delivery problems with clients • Coordinate with marketing and sales staff to ensure timely and accurate product shipments • Stay informed about new Merit products and provide customer feedback on product needs and innovations • Make product-pricing decisions within approved authorization limits • Prepare monthly reports summarizing sales results, contacts, product-change needs and procedural improvement suggestions • Participate in sales training and planning meetings • Maintain knowledge of Merit and competitor products • Set and achieve sales performance goals • Travel by car, airplane, bus and other transportation to perform sales duties • Perform other sales-related duties as required
• Education and experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree • Minimum of five years of direct sales experience, preferably in selling medical products • Ability to communicate effectively with and understand the needs of others in a sales relationship • High degree of personal motivation and drive to achieve personal and professional goals • Excellent oral presentation skills and ability to think quickly when analyzing problems and explaining answers to medical technicians and clinicians • Ability to learn the usage of medical equipment and identify and explain possible improvements in usage • Ability to work effectively as a team member to achieve organizational goals • Ability to utilize business mathematics to calculate percentages and prepare financial and sales information • High degree of personal organization skills, including ability to record and report information and document work performed • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Ability to travel extensively and work long hours as required • Demonstrated computer skills, preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs • Fluent in Danish and English
