📋 Description

• Support the design, implementation, and operation of secure, resilient Azure SQL environments across our multi-tenant SaaS platform • Monitor database health, performance, and capacity using established observability tools and metrics • Troubleshoot and tune queries, indexes, and stored procedures to maintain fast, efficient, and reliable performance • Assist in managing database deployments and configuration changes through automated, source-controlled processes • Contribute to database maintenance activities, including routine integrity checks, automation scripts, and ongoing optimisation tasks • Participate in incident response activities — helping investigate performance issues, outages, or data anomalies • Work alongside senior engineers to review data models, schema designs, and access patterns for performance and scalability • Passionate problem-solver with a focus on process improvement and automation.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience as a SQL Database Administrator working in production environments • Solid understanding of SQL Server performance tuning, query optimisation, and troubleshooting techniques • Experience with Azure SQL or other cloud-hosted database platforms • Understanding of source control (Git) • Clear communicator who can collaborate effectively with engineers, infrastructure specialists, and data teams • Curious and proactive — keen to learn, improve processes, and contribute to a culture of learning and continuous improvement • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, pragmatism, bias for action and a high sense of responsibility.
