📋 Description

• Maintain and develop new features on the software platform • Apply software engineering principles to software design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation • Ensure developed software is secure and safe regarding information security and personal data • Actively participate in meetings and projects • Coordinate with team members • Continue professional development and keep abreast of new developments • Document work clearly and understandably for future use • Participate in Agile rituals and practices as part of the tech team

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience developing Scala-based backend systems • In-depth development experience using Scala and building software from the ground up • Proven expertise in functional programming principles • Hands-on experience with the Typelevel stack, preferably Cats and Cats Effect • Experience with microservices and AWS highly preferred • Focus on software quality and scalability • Excellent spoken and written English skills • Currently based in Portugal, South Africa, or Kenya • Ability to participate in Agile rituals and practices • Successful candidates must complete reference and background screening checks
