• Focus on the development and management of an internal team within the Engineering group. • Create an inspiring and collaborative team environment with open communication culture. • Set clear team goals, delegate tasks, and coach/mentor Associates to successfully deliver engineering projects. • Provide leadership and development to Fortna Associates of varying levels of experience. • Support promoting and developing methodologies for delivery of projects from initial lead up to implementation. • Direct the design and documentation of electrical controls deliverables of Fortna’s Material Handling Systems. • Organize and conduct training of Associates to maximize potential. Ensure development of Associates using regular feedback, quarterly performance reviews, and by maintaining a skill matrix. • Oversee multiple projects in electrical engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited college with seven to 10 years of relevant experience, or a two-year degree from an accredited college with 10+ years of relevant experience. • Conveyor control process experience (photoeyes, solenoids, variable frequency drive, line scanner, print and apply application). • Knowledge of and ability to work with and manage multiple suppliers. • Ability to work effectively on a team and support high levels of performance. • Strong management and advanced collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal communication). • Extensive experience working with MS Project and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Experience in standard design of relevant material handling equipment for position. • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Promis-e, or E-Plan for electrical design. • Ability to travel frequently both nationally and internationally in support of projects.
• Comprehensive services and products including network strategy, distribution center operational design and implementation, material handling automated equipment, robotics and a comprehensive suite of lifecycle services. • Regular feedback and quarterly performance reviews for Associates. • Skill matrix development for Associates. • Training to maximize potential of team members.
