📋 Description

• Design and review curricula and qualifications • Author and review learning content and materials • Manage learning materials and subject information on Milpark’s learning management systems • Lecture and assess assigned programmes and subjects in Risk and Insurance • Implement assessment policies and procedures in line with HEQC requirements • Draft, moderate, approve, and manage assessments, marks, and discrepancies • Assist with academic policy development • Obtain industry input to improve teaching relevance and materials • Support students with content queries and extra academic assistance • Serve on academic committees • Develop admission, exemption, and RPL policies • Oversee programme quality, curriculum implementation, admissions, selection, and student support • Prepare SAQA registration and HEQC accreditation submissions • Track student throughput and manage at-risk students • Recruit, induct, develop, and performance-manage academic staff • Produce publications aligned with departmental objectives • Improve student motivation and provide academic representation and consulting • Maintain student profiles and manage academic queries, disputes, and articulation • Participate in HEQC/DoE enquiries • Assist with special projects and provide consulting services in the field of expertise • Maintain professional relationships and pursue continuous professional development

🎯 Requirements

• Postgraduate's degree relevant to the financial services industry, preferably in Risk Management and/or Insurance • Minimum 3 years financial services industry experience • Minimum 3 years in an academic environment • Preference given to master's degree holders • Preference given to candidates with FIISA or CRM Prof designations • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Proven ability to manage time and work to strict deadlines in a fast-moving environment • High attention to detail • Ability to work in a team • Excellent interpersonal skills • Commitment to continuous professional development • Passion for education and students • Good analytical skills
