📋 Description

• Design, build, and administer highly available and performant MySQL databases • Support production databases across global data centers • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot MySQL replication and clustering • Provide database reports and queries for internal stakeholders • Perform performance tuning, backup/recovery, and proactive monitoring • Troubleshoot complex database issues to maintain system availability • Automate database tasks using scripting (Python, Shell, or Bash) • Document database designs, processes, and operational guidelines • Follow change management processes for production environments • Work closely with Operations and Development teams to support scalable databases and cloud modernization efforts

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of overall professional experience, including 3+ years of hands-on MySQL administration • Experience with GCP (preferred) or AWS cloud database technologies • Strong understanding of MySQL implementation, performance tuning, and replication (master-master) • Proficiency with MySQL administration tools and monitoring performance indicators (IO, CPU, queries) • Experience writing SQL queries, including for reporting and analytics • Solid knowledge of Linux for database administration • Scripting skills in Python (preferred), Shell, or Bash • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities • Exposure to SQL Server administration • Data warehouse experience (e.g., Google BigQuery) • Familiarity with automation tools for database provisioning and monitoring
