📋 Description

• Design and implement efficient, scalable backend services using Go • Develop and maintain microservices-based architectures • Create and enhance command-line interface (CLI) applications for terminal use • Design and implement APIs using Protocol Buffers and GraphQL for efficient inter-service communication • Integrate with Claude to help accomplish required work • Participate actively in feature design with colleagues and make informed decisions • Follow feature rollout procedures to ensure safe rollout • Create Grafana dashboards and alerts to monitor rolled-out features • Optimize existing codebases for improved performance and reliability • Implement systems for load balancing, fault tolerance, and scalability • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with frontend applications and CLI tools • Develop robust error handling, logging, and monitoring solutions • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and coding standards • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments • Clearly communicate working hours and availability • Represent Mondoo at community events as preferred • Contribute directly to the Mondoo Platform, including its policy engine, resources, scale, and multi-region functionality • Build software that helps teams assess, scope, prioritize, triage, and remediate security findings

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field • 5+ years of professional experience in backend development using Go • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems • Experience in developing command-line interface (CLI) applications • Proficiency in Protocol Buffers and GraphQL API design and implementation • Experience with SQL • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) • Solid understanding of version control systems (preferably Git) • Strong written and communication skills with proven fluency in English • Excellent ability to articulate complex technical concepts and participate effectively in the feature design process • Preferred: experience with event-driven architectures • Preferred: knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) • Preferred: familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices • Preferred: experience with gRPC • Preferred: contributions to open-source Go projects • Preferred: experience with cross-platform development for CLI applications • Preferred: previous experience participating in or leading RFC processes • Must be based in Bulgaria or Germany and have the right to work there • Generally available for videocall meetings between 4 and 7pm EET
