• Provide support and maintenance CAD tools used by IC designers include Synopsys Custom Compiler, Primesim, VCS, ICV, StarRC, Virtuoso, ADE, various simulation tools, and Verilog / System Verilog • Help maintain and update CAD libraries and databases. • Develop and maintain scripts using Python, Perl, Tcl, and Cadence SKILL to automate design processes and improve efficiency. • Work with CAD tool vendors to evaluate new tools, solve bugs, improve usability, etc. • Develop infrastructure to support design work in new process technologies. • Collaborate with design engineers to refine and improve existing designs flow based on feedback. • Assist users in understanding and resolving technical issues related to CAD designs. • Provide clear and concise explanations of complex technical concepts to non-technical users. • Communicate effectively with users to diagnose and resolve technical problems. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in design and documentation. • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members. • Organize and manage documentation to ensure easy retrieval and reference.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. • Proven experience in CAD design, preferably with advanced process technologies. • Experience with EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics). • Ability to explain technical information in a simple and understandable manner. • Experience with Python, Tcl, Cadence SKILL, Perl. • Familiarity with Linux/Unix (e.g., Red hat) • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, version control). • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly. • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to semiconductor design.
