📋 Description

• McMichael Taylor Gray, LLC is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with experience in New York foreclosure law to join its expanding New York practice. • The employee MUST BE BASED IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK. • The ideal applicant will be a career-oriented professional with at least one year of experience representing creditors in commercial foreclosures and/or title proceedings. • Newly admitted applicants will also be considered with a strong desire to learn these practice areas. • Experience with receiverships, complex commercial foreclosure litigation, and creditor-side bankruptcy experience is strongly preferred. • The applicant must have the ability to prioritize and manage numerous tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, communicate professionally at all times, be effective working independently and as part of a team, and provide exceptional customer service. • Leadership and management skills is a plus.

🎯 Requirements

• Admitted to practice in New York. • Admitted to practice in New York’s federal district courts and/or other states a plus. • Experience in real estate, mortgage and/or commercial litigation strongly preferred. • Knowledge of FDCPA, RESPA, TILA, as well as any applicable state and federal debt collection and real property law a plus. • Experience in foreclosure and real estate law a plus; if none, must be willing to learn. • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) • Ability to travel as needed. • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and document drafting. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality. • A portable book of business is a plus.
