📋 Description

• Establish the focal point of contact between the client and the company in Lagos for the field security plan • Coordinate operational requirements to ensure a safe, effective working environment and security plan • Coordinate security vessel field patrol and effective surveillance to safeguard against unwanted intrusion into the client field • Protect clients' offshore assets, including cargo ships, tankers on ship-to-ship operations, and FPSOs, using patrol boats • Assist clients in achieving field security plans by monitoring the Maritime Exclusion Zone (MEZ) and preventing encroachments • Coordinate security patrol boat operations, field security plans, and vessel escorts • Coordinate offshore service requirements and shore movements for security vessel servicing and maintenance • Monitor radar, AIS, and radio communications offshore and issue warnings to vessels encroaching on the client MEZ • Conduct onboard patrol boat checks of safety, communication, and security equipment • Ensure Situation Reports (SITREPs) are sent to the Lagos TOC according to SOPs • Request patrol boat bunkering and address offshore crew welfare-related issues • Prepare and send end-of-rotation reports to the Operations Supervisor for review by the Operations Manager • Assist in coordinating QHSE and other onboard drills • Check galley supplies from vendors for quality before loading onto patrol boats • Serve as the client's management representative offshore and engage in maritime security discussions with the client • Report maritime security incidents and intelligence to the Lagos TOC and alert patrol boats within the area of responsibility

🎯 Requirements

• A Degree in any relevant field of study • Post-graduate diploma or Master's degree is an added advantage • Security or maritime-related discipline is an added advantage • Basic Offshore Safety Induction Emergency Training (BOSIET), including Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) • Security courses: ISPS, SSO (Ship Security Officer), CSO, PFSO or similar • First Aid training • HSE training • Cognate experience in the security and/or maritime industry for a minimum of three (3) years is desirable but not mandatory • Other work/background experience in any other field within a corporate environment is acceptable • Incident management • Facility / Personnel security • Communications security • Basic physical security countermeasures • Good communication skills, including report writing and clear, concise verbal speech to clients • Conflict resolution, problem solving and decision-making • Administrative skills • Health and Safety • Desire to learn and be promoted
