📋 Description

• Monitor and maintain award funds and accounts • Provide budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight services • Review expenditures for allowability, allocability, and reasonableness • Communicate grant terms and conditions to project teams with a focus on compliance • Navigate multiple research administration systems and guide faculty and staff in their use • Anticipate and proactively address researchers’ needs • Deliver excellent customer service • Manage high-stakes conversations around policy, compliance, and regulations • Work independently with minimal oversight while collaborating with the wider team • Balance competing priorities and deadlines efficiently and professionally • Provide mentorship to junior colleagues at the senior level

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required (or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience) • 3+ years of professional work experience • Ability to interpret and apply federal and non-federal regulations to sponsored projects • Strong analytical skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in research administration systems • Strong organizational, time, and project management skills • Ability to perform under pressure • Ability to provide mentorship to junior colleagues for senior-level candidates • Preferred for senior-level candidates: 3+ years in higher education grants management • Strong knowledge of eRA systems, sponsor systems, compliance, and regulatory requirements • Certified Research Administrator (CRA) credential preferred • Experience mentoring or training junior staff preferred • Graduate-level coursework in financial accounting or related areas preferred • Cover letter and resume required
